“Las Vegas, Nevada – KOA: 109 Degrees in the Shade” by Naaman Rosen

Max Eternity Circumscribing the Liminal is an exhibition currently on display at Krowswork Gallery in Oakland, California.  Located just off Broadway Street in the heart of the Downtown arts district, the space is owned and operated by Jasmine Moorhead.

This audio visual show features the artwork of three artists practicing in photography, video and sound installations–Teresa Cunniff, Malak Helmy and Naaman Rosen–.  And Moorehead says “Each of these three artists has focused attention on a particular liminal, or in-between, though paradoxically bounded space…revealing the true liminal nature of this structural and linguistic breakdown–with its attendant potential for total reconfiguration, re-equalization, and transcendence.”

In the following podcast, Moorehead elaborates on the finer points of each artists talents and how the respective works speaks wholly to this idea of liminal space.  The exhibition opened on May 20th and closes June 18th, 2011.
