The Changing Face Of Race: Harlem’s Ethnic Cleansing

As reported by The Real News Network, Harlem is undergoing a major transformation.  This historic city in New York has been, for than a century, the center of African-American literary and artistic expression, including the performing arts.  However,  as a direct result of economic-based gentrification, African-Americans are being forced out of a neighborhood that generations of families have called home.  Harlem was once a haven for the Black and disposed, now many of it’s inhabitants are saying its being remade as a place for upper class, White excess.
