The Crisis of Inequality Picks Up Steam

Max Eternity – For the last 6 months sequential eruptions of social unrest has blotted the globe.  Through the Middle East, public dissatisfaction with what is seen as unyielding and corrupt holds on finance and public policy has resulted in the toppling on several governments.  With countries in the West, like Spain, France and England, the governments remain intact, but the fury of protest is no less potent.

In the United States, a movement called Occupy Wall Street threatens to spark a full-fledged socioeconomic revolution, with protests that were once isolated to New York City, now having spread nationwide.

“Any economic model that does not properly address inequality will eventually face a crisis of legitimacy” writes economist, Nouriel Roubini.  Read more.
